FRAUNHOFER SOCIETY SIGNS MULTI-YEAR CONTRACT WITH THOMSON SCIENTIFIC
German Research Society Chooses ISI Web of Knowledge Platform

Thomson Scientific, part of The Thomson Corporation (NYSE: TOC; TSX: TOC) and leading provider of information solutions to the worldwide research and business communities, today announced that the Fraunhofer Society has signed a three year contract for the ISI Web of Knowledge platform. The society, made up of 56 institutions throughout Germany, will have access to the Web of Science and Journal Citation report resources.
ISI Web of Knowledge is an integrated, Web-based platform that supports all levels of scientific and scholarly res earch within academic, corporate, government or not-for-profit environments.
