Thomson Scientific, part of The Thomson Corporation (NYSE: TOC; TSX: TOC) and leading provider of information solutions to the worldwide research and business communities, today announced the availability of InSight Publisher® 3.5. The latest version of this regulatory submission software uniquely enables pharmaceutical companies to create, manage and publish regulatory submissions in both paper and electronic format using a single software application, saving critical time in the drug pipeline.

The world's regulatory authorities increasingly prefer the electronic format, while still requiring paper submissions. With InSight Publisher 3.5 regulatory professionals can produce both from a single assembly, using the same thin-client application that is also integrated with the rest of the InSight Suite. InSight Publisher is built on the same platform as InSight Manager which offers sophisticated registration management and submission tracking capabilities and the entire platform is adaptable to many different organizational processes and designs, including centralized and decentralized publishing.

"With more than 40 clients already signed up for InSight Publisher, we're eager to introduce a host of new features to the marketplace," said Jim Nichols, Liquent's vice president of Product Strategy and Marketing. "By adding capabilities such as several 'wizards' that guide our users through very complex processes, the most robust eCTD conformity checking capabilities, and a host of time-saving features, we're incredibly proud to announce the availability of this newest version of InSight Publisher."

"InSight Publisher continues Liquent's leadership in the regulatory publishing and regulatory information management solutions market," adds Rick Riegel, Liquent's vice president and General Manager. "The Liquent InSight suite is the industry's only fully integrated regulatory information management platform, allowing our clients to maximize their business benefit of reusing regulatory information while increasing compliance."
